Every student undertakes work experience as part of their course - developing real skills with real employers, from local businesses to international opportunities.
Why Work Experience Matters
Work experience is an invaluable opportunity for you to gain an insight into the world of work. We believe that learning takes place both in the classroom/workshop as well as through outside experiences with employers. All students across every subject area are supported to undertake work experience placements focused on developing the relevant practical and technical skills required for a profession or trade.
Build Real Skills
Develop the practical and technical abilities employers are looking for. Work on actual projects that matter to real businesses and see how your learning applies in the workplace.
Explore Career Paths
Try different roles and industries to discover what excites you. Many of our students secure employment or apprenticeships with their placement employers.
Go Further
From local businesses to international placements through our Tuning Scheme, we help you gain experience that stands out – whether that’s in Doncaster or destinations like Thailand, Spain, or Bali.
