
Helen Kirby-Hawkins is a Product Experience Specialist BDM at Technology One. She is responsible for helping universities maximise their use of technology to support their activities. She is a huge advocate for technology enabled change and making life easier for staff and students using technology.
She is also an experienced senior leader in higher education and a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. Helen has occupied senior roles at a number of UK HEI’s and throughout her career in edtech she has worked with universities across the globe implementing software to support student administration. She has spent 15 years in Higher Education and prior to this worked in the Civil Service. Her areas of specific interest are academic administration, professional services functions including academic registry, specialising in student engagement, timetabling, and student belonging.
Helen is also an active researcher and has published several papers. Her research focus is on timetabling and student engagement, novel uses of software technologies and the student experience. Helen grew up in North Lincolnshire and still lives there.
