Donna Chambers is an experienced senior HR and People professional, currently working as Assistant Director of People and Culture at Humberside Fire and Rescue Service. She has developed a successful career across education, healthcare, local government and charitable organisations, providing strategic leadership in people management, organisational development, workforce planning and employee engagement.
Donna has extensive experience of working at senior level, supporting organisations through change and transformation, developing effective people strategies and creating positive, inclusive working cultures. Her career has included experience within the education sector, including senior HR roles in Social Care, academies, sixth form and Further education Colleges. She has also worked within the NHS and local government, giving her a strong understanding of governance, accountability and effective leadership.
Donna wanted to become a governor because she is passionate about education and the opportunities it provides to young people. She believes her experience in leadership, workforce development, safeguarding, equality and organisational improvement can make a positive contribution to the school.
As a governor, Donna hopes to use her professional experience constructively, providing support and appropriate challenge while working collaboratively with the school’s leadership team to help ensure the best outcomes for all pupils.
