Carl Vincent

Carl is a member of the Audit and Risk Committee, and the Finance and Resources Committee.

Carl has had a long career in the health and social care sector, with the last 13 years as a Chief Financial Officer (CFO). After graduating he worked as an economist at the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC), before transitioning to accountancy and finance roles. Carl spent a total of 17 years at the DHSC, including a period on secondment at one of the largest accountancy firms.

Following his time at the DHSC, Carl moved to be the CFO for NHS Digital, and then moved to be the CFO for NHS Blood and Transplant. In addition to his experience of being a finance leader, Carl has extensive leadership experience of procurement teams and estates and facilities teams.

Carl was able to progress in his career after returning to education as a mature student, and he is now very motivated to support the outstanding executive team and wider staff to give our students the same opportunities he has had to fulfil his ambitions.
