Director of Curriculum: Business, Teacher Training, Humanities and Teacher Training
Having played professional football for 14 years, I became the programme leader for sport at University Campus North Lincolnshire in 2016. In 2017, I gained a PhD in Sport Science at the University of Hull where my thesis focused on the contextual complexities of transition in, through ad out of professional football; a subject that enabled me to add personal experience to the study. I was awarded Fellowship of the HEA in April 2018 and had my first journal article published in Sport, Education and Society in 2021. Following five years as the Deputy Head of School for Health, Education, Wellbeing and Sport, I am currently Director of Curriculum for Business, Teacher Training, Humanities and Social Sciences.
