Students Host ‘Celebrate Exhibition’ at The Point
Art, Design & Media Graduates from Doncaster College and University Centre showcase their work at The Point in Doncaster town centre from June 7th to June 30th, 2018.
14 September 2018
Celebrate’ is an eclectic mix of work, from students who have been studying on these five degree programme areas: Illustration & Concept Art, Graphic Design, Games Design & Animation, Fine Art & Crafts and Fashion Design & Textiles. Work on display will include exploration of the creative process as well as ‘finished work’. Collectively the exhibited work will showcase the diverse and creative talents of our degree students as well as providing a full picture of what they undertake during their period of study with us. On display will be sketchbooks, 2D and 3D visual development, finished illustrations and concept art, animated screen work, games design as well as fashion and textile designs, completed items of clothing, packaging design, branding and finally screen prints, paintings, ceramics and sculpture.
Programme Leader of the BA(Hons)/FdA Illustration & Concept Art course, Carey Sizer-Coy has
co-ordinated the exhibition, for the third year running to celebrate the creative artwork of students studying at Doncaster. Not forgetting the support from her colleagues Andrea Sutton, Simon Gomes, Laura Green, Ady Smith, Mike Bunn and Jerry Leigh. Carey says “This is not only an ideal opportunity for our students to exhibit within a professional and stunning gallery space, made possible by the continued support of Helen Jones, a director at The Point, but allows others from the Doncaster community and further afield the ideal opportunity to see what the University at Doncaster has to offer within our Art, Design and Media degree programme areas.”
