Caitlin Croucher, Naomi Mallinson Hayes, Tyler Dodson, Savannah Moody and Hannah Bramley we’re all part of the glam team working for ‘The Make Up People’ at the national finals held at Kelham Hall Newark. The girls did a fantastic job working on all the contestants in a professional environment with 6 rooms on the go, press photographers and a TV crew to add to the pressure.

“The girls were really good, very respectful and professional. A pleasure to work with!” Colin Laphan, The Make Up People.

The College work closely with The Make Up People to supply Pierre Rene cosmetics for the student’s make-up kits.  The Make Up People also supply make-up artists to major events, giving our students the opportunity to add to their work experience.

The girls, who studied their level 2 last year, are in their final year at college studying Level 3 Make-Up artistry.

“It was great to work with a massive make-up company like Pierre Rene!” – Tyler Dodson, 18.

“It’s built up my confidence and I’ve got the extra experience I needed to develop my style and get ready for my career.” – Caitlin Croucher, 20.

The students are now studying fantasy airbrush make-up and prosthetics in preparation for working as MUA’s on the Children’s Trust Thriller production in December this year.

“I am immensely proud of my MUA students, they showed a high level of make-up artistry skill, organisation and professionalism at this major National event. Our MUA courses specialise in getting our trainee make-up artists confident, independent and employment ready.” – Sue Cocking, tutor.
