Cast opened in 2013 and plays an integral role within Doncaster and the aspiration of the community, as it’s a purpose built theatre venue in the centre of Doncaster this is an ideal place for our ceremonies to take place in. With over 730 guests joining in the celebration as well as respected guests such as the Civic Mayor, Majid Khan and the Deputy Lieutenant of South Yorkshire, Akeela Mohammed, and Dan Fell of Doncaster Chamber.

The guest speaker for the ceremonies were Steve Judge a previous Doncaster College student who spoke of his inspiring journey following his commitment and achievements through rehabilitation from being told he may never walk again following a serious accident, now a gold medallist and international motivational speaker he received some great feedback from staff and guests.

As well as Steve Judge, Angela Briggs welcomed the graduates and guests as well as Anne Tyrrell, reflecting on the day Anne says  “It is always such a proud moment to see our students graduate in Doncaster after so many years of hard work and determination. For so many of our students they never dreamed that they would achieve a degree and yet they show time and time again that it is really possible. They are also an inspiration to others who will follow in their footsteps.”

The graduation ceremonies are always a great way to celebrate the hard work put into achieving higher education success, and the graduation team are already making plans for 2019!
