Ben is a serving headteacher in the largest secondary school in North Lincolnshire and is a member of the quality and performance committee.
Frederick Gough School serves over 1300 eleven to sixteen year old pupils and Ben has been privileged to lead the school for the past fourteen years. Starting as a chemistry teacher in 1995 and moving into curriculum leadership, Ben then undertook a number of roles in senior leadership that have included quality of teaching and learning, curriculum design, assessment and SEND. He is aware that governance within the DN Colleges Group provides a valuable insight into the needs for pupils post 16 as well as being able to provide insight into how secondary developments in education may affect the colleges group.
Ben is honoured to be a member of the governing body and is committed to ensuring the college group continues to play a leading role in enhancing the lives and communities of the people it works with.
