Meet our Enterprise Advisors
Enterprise Advisor – North Lindsey College
As an Enterprise Advisor, I serve as a strategic volunteer bridging the gap between education and industry. Working directly with the college’s senior leadership team, I’ve established key partnerships between the college and my connections with the local council and other businesses. This has resulted in the development of a comprehensive careers program aligned with Gatsby Benchmarks and the facilitation of industry-specific interactive workshops that reached nearly 100 students.
The role has significantly impacted both students and tutors by opening the horizons of working in a small business with enhanced career guidance, improved employer encounters, and a better understanding of labour market trends. Tutors like Zoe Slater have gained professional development through industry insights and support in embedding career education with advice like creating a portfolio of all the work they have undertaken at College, during their work placements and their interest at home to be ahead of people when competing for job placements. Moving forward, we’re focusing on expanding employer networks, developing industry-specific curriculum elements, and implementing robust tracking systems for student progression.
As a former student of North Lindsey College and Doncaster College (DN College Group), I demonstrate how my college journey led me to become Head of Legal and Senior Manager at Snapdragon Media Ltd (formerly DigitalOx Ltd) through a T-Level Work Experience Placement—all within 6 years. This success has helped us establish a foundation for mentoring programs and enhance the curriculum with industry-relevant skills, beginning with Digital students and expanding to Business students with more in the works for other sectors like Business students.
