16-19 Tuition Fund

Additional funding has been given to schools and colleges to support 16-19-year old’s and those aged 19 to 24 who have an education, health and care (EHC) plan, who have had their learning disrupted due to the coronavirus situation.

At DN Colleges the funding will support one-to-one and small groups sessions (up to a maximum of 7 students) for students in English, maths and other subjects that have been disrupted, including vocational and/or academic learning. We will primarily focus on students who have not yet achieved a grade 4 in English and maths. We will also use this funding to support eligible learners with SEND to catch up on vocational and academic skills, and skills and learning that are important for their preparation for adulthood.

Learners will be identified following the guidance outlined by the government, but we would welcome and support all learners who require or request any additional support.

Any student who feels that they are needing additional support but haven’t been identified for it should speak to their tutor in the first instance.

In addition to the new 16-19 Tuition Fund, our we offer a wide range of support for all of our students. For more information, visit our Student Information section
