Coronavirus 3rd April Update

As anchor institutions in North Lincolnshire and South Yorkshire, North Lindsey College, Doncaster College and University Centre and the UCNL remain  committed to utilising all its resources to support its staff, students, apprentices and the wider community during these difficult times.

In line with Government guidelines, we intend to maintain our onsite provision for the childcare of NHS staff and other key workers at Kingsway nursery in Scunthorpe, however due to staffing levels Waterbabies in Doncaster will be closed. If you want to find out more about these facilities please email kingswaychildrenscentre@northlindsey.ac.uk  or hub.childcare@don.ac.uk.

Global House in Scunthorpe will remain open as a base for NHS staff.

The Group’s main sites on Kingsway in Scunthorpe and The Hub in Doncaster will have limited access for vulnerable students, students with a ECHP or students that require support. Given the need to reduce unnecessary travel, if you consider you or your child requires access to this support, please use these links:

Only staff who have been explicitly asked to attend College by a member of SLT should travel to work. All other staff should work from home.

All other centres including UCNL, CATCH, British Steel, Airco and our Sports Academies in Doncaster will remain fully closed to all staff, students and apprentices.

All students and apprentices will be supported through online learning to enable them to continue their studies at home.

We understand the worry around exams during this period but would like to reassure our students and apprentices, along with those wishing to progress to us in September that we will communicate with them directly about their next steps.

For all queries:

In the event that you need access to support, having problems with accessing us online or need to talk to someone, then please be assured that we are here for you. Your tutors and support staff are the first contact point.

Further updates will be posted here on the website. We will also share that information via our social channels.

My tutors were so supportive and understanding of all of the students’ needs and are more than happy to help. You can genuinely see that they go out their way to make our learning as enriching as they can.
